A Vibrant Evening of Art and Community
On June 14, Oregon City hosted its annual 6×6 Art Show, a brilliant event for local artists and art enthusiasts alike. For one evening, the venue transformed into a mosaic of hundreds of small artworks, each precisely 6×6 inches, showcasing the diverse talent of the region’s creative community.
Organized as a charitable project, the exhibition channels all proceeds into youth art programs and scholarships — making every art purchase a meaningful contribution to both artists and the local community.
An Artistic Kaleidoscope of Styles
What truly sets the 6×6 Art Show apart is its open, eclectic format. On a single wall, you’ll discover pieces spanning countless techniques, themes, and skill levels. Abstracts coexist with realism; humor contrasts with meditative calm; professional illustrations share space with naïve imagery.
It’s less a rigid gallery and more a kaleidoscope of visual voices where each artwork speaks its own unique artistic language.
My Artistic Contributions at the Show
This year, I was honored to present several of my original works — each reflecting my explorations in digital art, original prints, and designs for custom apparel. Integrating my pieces into this vibrant, diverse exhibition was an inspiring experience.
Glitch Grove – part of my conceptual series based on overlays, fragmentation, and digital noise. These artworks are built on the collision of imagery and digital traces, blending fragments through artifacts and distortions. It’s a visual exploration of perception in the era of neural networks and algorithmic vision. The series is currently in preparation for release.
I was also excited to show Heart in Bloom, one of my illustrations from a broader series of floral hearts. This design was created specifically for prints on t-shirts, hoodies, bags, and other products — a colorful and heartfelt motif already partially available on my website, with a full product line launching soon.

The Hue series presents a floral image dissolving into vibrant, multicolored smoke. This series fuses decorative elements, saturated colors, and a sense of dynamic movement, resulting in a collection that’s visually striking and emotionally uplifting. The series will soon be available on my site as part of my digital art and custom print offerings.
Another of my works was Identity Crisis, a piece from a larger series featuring feline characters reimagined in a wide range of artistic styles and roles — from aristocrats to outcasts, dreamers to icons. Each illustration experiments with humor, tenderness, and surreal overtones, exploring how identity transforms through costume, pose, and context. Many pieces from this collection are already live on Pinterest.
The exhibition provided a perfect setting for pieces like Red Gloss, from my series examining the delicate boundary between aesthetic beauty and commercial representation of the human body. The imagery hovers between seduction, advertising, and ironic distance, offering a contemporary perspective on visual culture.
A Warm Atmosphere and Creative Diversity
The exhibition radiated a welcoming, lively atmosphere, fueled by music, light refreshments, and engaging conversations among artists and visitors. Over 75 artists participated this year, contributing more than 200 pieces, making the event as diverse and surprising as ever.
I’m deeply grateful to the organizers for the chance to participate, to fellow artists for sharing their creative visions, and especially to those who acquired artworks. Every purchase supports vital community projects and also provides meaningful encouragement for artists like myself.
Events like the 6×6 Art Show are essential not merely as platforms to display art, but as vibrant spaces where creativity becomes part of a genuine exchange between people.
